The village of Kinsarvik is located on the shores of the Hardanger Fiord, east of the entrance to the South Fjord, about 40 kilometres north of the town of Odda. With its beautiful scenery it is a natural meeting place.

In the village you will find a library, a grocery store, an outlet for the local Hardanger Bestikk (cutlery/flatware), tourist information and helicopter base.

A popular tourist route in Kinsarvik goes through Husedalen, where you can pass the waterfalls Tveitafossen, Nyastølfossen, Nykkjesøyfossen and Søstefossen. The trip takes about 4-5 hours.

From Husedalen it is also possible to go up to the Norwegian Tourist Association's chalet at Stavali on Hardangervidda. This is a day trip.

There are many activities offered in and around Kinsarvik; swimming in the sea, boat hire, fishing, go-karts, amusement park, walk in the woods and mountains, sightseeing by helicopter and seaplane.
